Samsung’s One UI 6.1 Update Brings Galaxy S24 AI Features to Galaxy S23, Fold 5, and Flip 5 Devices

Samsung’s upcoming One UI 6.1 update is set to revolutionize the user experience for owners of select flagship Galaxy smartphones and tablets released in 2023. While initially announced for 2023 flagships, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5, the update is now confirmed to bring all the advanced AI features of the Galaxy S24 to these devices.

A recent screenshot shared by renowned Twitter leakster Ice universe sheds light on the integration of Galaxy S24 AI capabilities into the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The “Advanced intelligence” menu on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 mirrors the same features found on the Galaxy S24, with added descriptions for enhanced user awareness. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE, despite its 2023 release, may miss out on some Galaxy S24 AI features due to its utilization of Exynos and Snapdragon chips from the Galaxy S22 series.

Scheduled to commence rollout later this month, the One UI 6.1 update promises an array of AI enhancements, including the innovative Circle to Search feature, across eligible devices. While the Galaxy S23 series, Fold 5, Flip 5, and Tab S9 are among the first in line for the update, its availability is expected to extend into April for widespread adoption in various markets. Additionally, other compatible devices may also receive the One UI 6.1 update starting April, pending official confirmation.
