The redesigned document scanner brings forth a customized image viewfinder along with simplified controls, introducing a new “Auto capture” camera mode for swift image capture.

Key Scanner Upgrades:
The revamped document scanner on Google Drive includes a user-friendly interface with features like Crop & Rotate, a variety of Filters (Auto, Color, and Grayscale options), Retake, and Delete. The “Auto capture” mode is designed to snap an image automatically as soon as the subject is aligned within the viewfinder, enhancing the overall scanning experience.

Seamless Image Editing:
Post-capture, users are presented with a new preview interface, equipped with tools to fine-tune their images. The intuitive interface allows for quick adjustments to ensure the scanned document meets the user’s preferences. Once the editing is complete, users can conveniently select a specific folder to upload the scanned image.

This document scanner redesign is part of Google Drive’s recent series of updates aimed at enhancing user experience. The platform introduced a refreshed homepage layout for both Android and iOS, facilitating faster file location.
